RMS Lite - a POS for Dynamics RMS

RMS Lite is a unique add-on for Dynamics RMS. Essentially, it is a simplified POS interface which works in conjunction with existing installation of Dynamics RMS Store Operations and provides and alterntaive way of processing some basic retail transactions (please check the feature comparison table below). RMS Lite is a great solution when it is necessary to open an relief POS lane during the "busy seasons", for ad-hoc line-busting, to process cash-only transactions, to run a light-weight POS terminal at a mobile kiosk, at a tradeshow booth or on the road etc. The great interface enhancements such as the built-in Catalog View for one-touch sales and the unique OffSite sales mode allow using RMS Lite in scenarios where the traditional RMS POS won't do. 

RMS Lite sports an attractive and easy to use user interface. Its GUI is specifically designed in a way that resembles both Dynamics RMS and POS in order to minimize the need for the cashier re-training. Because RMS Lite is built from ground-up using cutting-edge programming technology (.NET & WPF), unlike Dynamics RMS it is fully compatible with both existing and the future versions of Windows operating systems (including 64-bit).

Though it is built for working with Dynamics RMS v. 2.0, RMS Lite also supports the legacy versions of Dynamics RMS, such as 1.2 and 1.3. RMS Lite does not require an active service plan - just get the license, install the software, activate your license key and you are ready to use it! RMS Lite may also help to solve the PCI-DSS compliance problem for those users who chose not to renew their service plan at all.

RMS Lite, as all other Dynamics RMS add-ons from Retail Hero, does not require its own annual service plan. Retail Hero provides the user with lifetime access to the latest product fixes, downloads and free minor version upgrades (i.e. from version 1.0 to 1.1). The major version upgrades (i.e. from version 1.0 to 2.0) are free if available within one year of purchase or with a 50% discount after 12 months.
